In the far past before our days, we Men of lands and dragons of Earth
Held a pact of honour, a peace to last, forever...
We sons of sons tell the tale, our lost past
A world of old, paradise, and the end that came to be
The fire's light fades this night
For thousands of ages Man walked with Ancients
Mystic beasts of divinity, revered in all
Ageless teachers, spells of magik imparted to us
A gift spoken into our minds
Such seasons were not meant to last
A need for power too strong
Contentment became contempt
In the blackened, tainted hearts of men
Upon a moonless night they gathered
In secrecy, elders from clans away
Into the sacred flame, each stone was cast
The Pact was burned and death would come to all
A call to war, conquer those we praised
Our tribes of five dominate
Possession of all unseen, out time of destiny
We hunted them down, relentless, so ruthless were we
Man extolled his pride, extinction brought forth
As Utopia bled alive
And years would pass, our magik would fade
Some of knew the future to be
Redemption would never be found
